The Don Harvey Duo - Our first time in McGregor IA.
The Don Harvey Duo plays Classic American Acoustic Music and award-winning original songs.
Their style has been called everything from Acoustic Rock, Contemporary Folk, Reggae, to Classic Country.
More than just a singer songwriter, Don Harvey is a dynamic entertainer on acoustic guitar, with a lively harmonica, and a honey drenched vocal. He can wow an audience with his miniature harmonica, some unbelievable whistling, or quirky dance. As an award-winning songwriter, Don is known for his insightful lyrics and spirited acoustic melodies. He has produced 4 CD’s of original music and won the Larryfest (KVAMA) Songwriting Contest in 2008. The Duo is currently finishing up the 5th CD of original songs.
Sam Pfaff (OnBongos) adds a touch of humor and joins in on congas and bongos. He calls it coffeehouse percussion, because it’s never loud or overbearing. Sam played on the steering wheel of his van for years before becoming a professional hand drummer.
The Don Harvey Duo also performs premier Neil Young, and John Prine tribute acts with help from other musicians. The Duo plays somewhere in the Midwest every weekend. Don has also been part of a successful Simon and Garfunkel act for several years.
